Naaah ... that's not the name of that little girl next door ...
Try again!
Did you hear about the HongKong celebs rerecording Michael Jackson's hit song "We are the world"?
Yeah .. "We are the wuurrrh ... We are the CHIU REN" ...
Yea .. now u get it.
Yah lah .. my blog for my generation .. things got be explained .. haha.
So my MSc mates out there, make sure you collect (eerr, I mean correct, of course), all those cheechers who go round calling our little mates
CHIU REN! Yah .. fry them.
I am championing the rights of CHILDREN.
Every child has the right to be called collectively as CHILDREN not CHIU REN!
Ok ... chiu ren aside .. err, I mean children ... one guitar string broke last night. Twang! Actually I didn't hear the sound lah. I saw him nursing it tenderly. Said that strings were rusty even when bought new. This is the electric guitar.
Did I tell you about the acoustic guitar? First time the string broke, I had to lug it to the lessons place at tanjong pagar, 'cos mr cool didn't know what to do ... blah, blah, blah. Got the pple to change it for me, cost $1. They told me they didn't have a restringing service ... but blah blah they'll do it anyway.
Brought it back, mr cool was happy, and like he's strummin' along ... and just seconds before you know it ... twang! Yupsy ... right in two. So we get a little smarter, we go a little nearer home. See there's a music shop at Thomson Plaza, so we goes and buys it for $1. K .. now we bring it back, and say, "Son, you got to learn to fix it yourself, that's what those music pple say." Ok ... and son goes a fixin' .. TWANG! Yupsy ... in two again.
And there we go again ... traipsing to the music shop ... yupsy, it's a developing relationship with the music shop.
Mr Cool brings it to church and gets someone to fix it. But before you know it, these string are not good enough. 'Cos you need to get anti-rust something .. better to change to copper. Ok, there goes the copper strings. Strummin' along happy for a while ... then it was NAG NAG NAG ... electric guitar ...
Now he's happy for a while ... we'll see ... what next.
I'll keep you posted.
